It depends upon the purpose- If you need a motorbike for daily commuting; 150cc bike is fuel- efficient. However, 250cc is a perfect choice for teen bikers especially those who want to flaunt their style.
To most people, touring on a 150cc motorcycle may sound challenging, energy sucking and uncomfortable, and I won't disagree with you all. For beginner motorcycle riders, the recommended engine is 500cc to 600cc. The lower the cc figure, the easier the bike will handle, and the more forgiving it will be to the inevitable mistakes that new riders make. Just because a bike has a smaller engine doesn't mean you can't still ride fast.
The top speed of a 150cc dirt bike can vary, but the average top speed of a 150cc dirt bike is about 50 to 60 mph.

Different bikes have different capacities of engines starting from 50 CC all the way up to 1800 CC on some sports cruisers. This cubic capacity of the engine is a determining factor in understanding how much output the engine can produce in terms of torque, horsepower, and mileage.

The 150 is faster than the stock 85. However that 109 blows it out of the water. The biggest factor in keeping my boy on the 2 stroke as long as possible was costs. Top ends on a 85 are cheap.
A two-stroke engine can theoretically produce twice the amount of power because it fires once every revolution, whereas four-strokes fire once every other revolution. Because of this, it has a higher power-to-weight ratio, making it more desirable for many riders.

Most of the research we've done shows that 250cc motorcycles top out, on average, around 80-85 mph, although faster street racers like the Kawasaki Ninja 250 can achieve top speeds upwards of 100 mph. The reasons for this variance in top speed are due to several factors like torque, horsepower, and engine design.
Most 300cc motorcycles are going to top out at speeds around 100 mph, although there are some sportbike and R models (racing models) that breeze past 100 mph with a twist of the throttle. We'd wager a top speed range of 85-112 mph for 300cc motorcycles.
